Caregiver Support
Primary Caregivers
Caring for the patient is important work and requires a primary caregiver. The primary caregivers can be family, friends, or even neighbors. Caregiving can be tough work and requires a lot of knowledge. To support both our patients and their caregivers, we will assist caregivers in every step of the way.
Respite Care
We focus on the patient’s caretaker by providing them with as much support as possible. Respite care can be provided to reduce caretaker stress. This is a short-term break of relief provided by our own caretakers in the patient’s home. This allows caretakers to take time for themselves and take a break from the patient for up to five consecutive days.
Examples under this category, Respite care can include:
- Basic medical care.
- Bathing and toileting assistance.
- Light housekeeping, like light cleaning and laundry.
- Transport if necessary.
- Companionship
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Meal preparation
Grief Support
Loss is inevitable, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to deal with. Everyone grieves differently, and it can take a toll on both mental and physical health. We offer grief support to the patient’s families and friends for 13 months following their death.
